Orrukan Fighting Styles
Due to their lower technology level and more resilient physiology, Orruks have developed fighting styles that differ somewhat from those of the other sentient races. They also have a variety of combat styles tailored mainly for Orruk Ball. These styles focus on showmanship and nonlethal hits… for the most part.
All rules for the styles listed here follow those outlined under the Fighting Styles page. Its worth reiterating the house rule that combat sport skill, combat art skill, and combat (actual) skill are average techniques that all default to one another at -3. Where more than one is listed as a prerequisite skill, buy one as a skill and buy the other(s) up to default+3 (so full skill)
The Orrukan style named after it’s signature move: taking an enemy to the ground and stomping him. This is typically a judo throw followed by a committed or all-out attack to the face or limb. This style’s grappling extols the virtue of brawn over technical ability. Stompa is a common style on the field of Orruk Ball, where players use their grappling prowess to bear opponents to the ground.

Out on the Great Plains, veteran hunters learn a style of fighting adapted specifically to hunting the toughest, most dangerous animal around – the Great Southern Dire Boar. Fighters favour heavy pronged spears to fend off charges, and javelin launchers to strike from a safe distance. They learn to work in teams and bait the beast until it eventually collapses from a multitude of wounds. More recently, hunters have discovered that the same tactics can work quite nicely against armoured human cavalry.
